Landscape Management Program
Our team (1-4+ persons depending on scope) focuses on bed maintenance and plant care. They will visit once per month (more frequently if requested) and apply pre and post emergent herbicide in the landscape areas, prune, apply broad spectrum insecticides and hand weed beds where we can’t control with herbicide. They mostly hand prune but will shear things as it is appropriate. If you have any special preferences regarding how formal you like the plantings maintained let us know and we will put it in the notes for the crew. Your bill is for the time spent on site and will list the services provided for that visit. The labor is calculated in man hours, the truck and equipment for hours on site with a $25 minimum, and debris by the quarter dump truck load. This is all tracked with our software on each crews tablet/device and includes a geo-location time stamp to eliminate the possibility of our crew not being where they say they are. Obviously winter visits are typically much less expensive and peak growing season visits higher especially when everything needs to be pruned. We try to spread our time out between visits on tasks to keep the bill as consistent as possible but there will be fluctuations. If something big comes up we will let you know (i.e. – a specialized insecticide or fungicide treatment, mulching, severe pruning, or a large amount of storm debris). We also provide seasonal color changes, lighting, and limited irrigation maintenance per request. We truly provide an expert in the field for estate style gardening care on your property, and though it is an investment, we know we can enhance the beauty and value of your landscape for your home or business. Let us know if you have any questions!
Organic Landscape Management Program
We have recently introduced a new organic product line into our landscape management program and began offering it as an option for all our landscape management clients to be implemented into their routine weed control strategy in August of 2020. This product is certified for organic gardening and is a worthy alternative to the standard method often used in the industry, such as glyphosate (Round-Up).
Results are realized within the day because it burns the foliage of weeds on contact, as opposed to translocating throughout the targeted plant. This is highly effective against annual weeds, however, because the chemical action takes place on the surface instead of killing the root system more established perennial weeds will likely grow back. Perennial weeds will still need to be hand-pulled regularly to help supplement.
Switching to an organic herbicide can be a beneficial decision for several reasons: 1) The product works on contact which makes resistance essentially impossible and positive outcomes can always be expected, 2) Traditional systemic herbicides can have long-term unwanted effects on nearby desirable plants if the application drifts beyond the target, and 3) Inorganic herbicides can persist in the garden without breaking down for several months, which can adversely affect beneficial organisms such as native bees.
If this sounds like a direction you would like to pursue, please feel free to reach out. A note to consider, the switch to organic will incur a slightly higher ‘per hour truck and equipment cost’ due to the product being more expensive than traditional synthetic chemicals, and we will provide that information upon request.
Our landscape management team (1-4+ persons depending on scope) focuses on bed maintenance and plant care. They will visit once per month (more frequently if requested) to apply organic post-herbicide in the landscape areas, prune plant material appropriately, apply broad spectrum organic insecticides, and manually pull weeds in beds where we can’t control with herbicide. Hand pruning is most typical, but they will mechanically shear plants when necessary or requested. If you have any special preferences regarding how formal you like your specimens maintained, we can certainly accommodate. Your bill is for the time spent on site and it will itemize the services provided for that visit. The labor is calculated in man hours, the truck and equipment for hours on site with a $30 minimum, and debris by the quarter dump truck load. Everything is tracked through our software on each crew’s tablet/device and includes a geo-location time stamp to eliminate the possibility of our crew not being where they say they are.
Fluctuations in billed amounts can be expected; winter visits are typically less expensive and peak growing season visit are more especially when everything needs to be pruned. We strive to distribute the time spent on tasks between each visit to keep the bill as consistent as possible. If something big, specific, or unexpected arises we will communicate the issue (e.g. – a specialized insecticide or fungicide treatment, mulching, severe pruning, or a large amount of storm debris). We also provide seasonal color changes, small scale landscape design/installation, lighting, and limited irrigation maintenance by request. We truly provide an expert in the field for estate-style gardening care on your property, and though it is an investment, we know we can enhance the beauty and value of your landscape for your home or business.
